First-Ever Beginner Clinic: Sold Out in 48h
48 Hours. Sold Out.
We knew there was interest.
We didn’t expect all the spots to disappear in 48 hours.
Our first-ever Beginner Clinic filled up almost as soon as registration opened, and it told us something pretty important: there are plenty of riders who want to get into off-road riding but aren’t always sure where to start.
So we created a day specifically for them.
Starting Off-Road Shouldn’t Feel Intimidating
Getting your first proper taste of off-road riding can be exciting.
It can also be intimidating.
Different terrain, different bike behaviour, unfamiliar techniques and the feeling that everyone around you already knows what they’re doing can make that first step harder than it needs to be.
The Beginner Clinic was built to change that.
No pressure to be the fastest.
No expectation that you already know everything.
And definitely no judgement when something doesn’t go according to plan.
The goal was simple: create a space where riders could learn, ask questions and get comfortable on dirt.
Learning the Basics
A good foundation makes everything that comes afterwards easier.
The clinic focused on the fundamentals that help riders feel more confident when the road ends and the trail begins.
Positioning. Balance. Braking. Turning. Standing on the bike. Reading the terrain.
The individual techniques matter, but so does understanding how they work together.
More importantly, riders had the chance to practise them in a supportive environment rather than simply hearing about them.
That’s where things start to click.
Everyone Starts Somewhere
One of the best things about a beginner-focused event is seeing how different everyone’s starting point can be.
Some riders arrive with plenty of experience on the road but almost none off-road.
Others may have spent some time on dirt but still feel uncertain about certain techniques.
There is no single definition of a beginner.
That’s why the group environment matters.
You quickly realise that you’re not the only one learning, making mistakes or figuring things out as you go.
And sometimes watching another rider work through the same challenge is just as useful as receiving advice yourself.
What We Learned
The biggest lesson from the first clinic wasn’t about technique.
It was about demand.
There is clearly a growing appetite for approachable, beginner-friendly off-road riding experiences where people can learn without feeling like they have to prove themselves.
That’s exactly the kind of community we want to build.
The response also reinforced something we’ve always believed: riders don’t necessarily need more pressure. They need more support.
Give people the right environment, some useful guidance and a group they feel comfortable riding with, and confidence follows.
What’s Next?
Selling out in 48 hours was a pretty good reason to start thinking about the next one.
The first Beginner Clinic showed us that there is a real place for more events built around learning, progression and bringing new riders into the off-road community.
So this won’t be the last.
We’ll keep creating opportunities for riders to improve their skills, meet other people and discover what makes off-road riding so rewarding.
Because everyone has a first ride.
Everyone makes their first mistake.
And everyone has to start somewhere.
Welcome to the Brigada
The Beginner Clinic may have sold out in 48 hours, but the idea behind it is much bigger than one event.
It’s about making off-road riding feel more accessible.
It’s about creating an environment where questions are welcome, mistakes are part of learning and nobody needs to have an ego about it.
That’s the Brigada way.
Zero ego. All support.
And we’re only getting started.
